JOYFUL NOISE 01

Happy December, friends! Today is the first day of Joyful Noise Advent calendar. We are SO excited to celebrate with you! Each day we'll be digging into the Word as we count down the days until Christmas. Here on the blog, we'll share an extra cup of Christmas cheer, along with some prayers and questions to think about each week. Join us as we prepare our hearts for our coming King and make a joyful noise all season long!

“But let the Godly rejoice. Let them be glad in God’s presence. Let them be filled with joy. Sing praises to God and to His name! Sing loud praises to Him who rides the clouds. His name is the Lord — rejoice in His presence!” -Psalm 68:3-4 NLT

"Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!" -Psalm 100:1 ESV

JOY: a feeling of great pleasure and happiness.
REJOICE: the verb, or the action of joy.

Isn’t it amazing that joy is a feeling and a doing?! We feel joy in our hearts, and we also can turn this feeling into action. The joy we receive from the Gospel ignites our hearts to rejoice and share this good news with others!

What does the joy of Christmas mean to you? How can you share this joy with others during the season of Advent?

Prayer

Dear Jesus, Thank You for filling our hearts with the joy of Christmas. Your life gives us much to rejoice! Guide us in this season of Advent to share the Good News with others. Amen.
