JOYFUL HEART BLESSINGS 06

"For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ." -2 Corinthians 5:21

Let’s open our Bibles and read back a bit from today's verse in 2 Corinthians 5. Starting in verse 11, the title of the section (in NLT) reads "We Are God's Ambassadors." That means us! God is so kind to bring us into His Word with action and love. Because of Jesus, we are made new in Him. It's a gift from God; a gift we are called to share with others as His ambassadors. Read verse 20: "So we are Christ's ambassadors; God is making His appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, "Come back to God." In this Advent season, we not only proclaim the coming of Jesus, but we invite our hearts and the hearts of others to come to Him. The King is coming! May it be so.

Dear Jesus,

You are our coming King - the sinless, spotless, lamb of God. Thank you for the gift You have given me; a gift beyond words. Because of You, I am made right with the Father. May I always remember the depth of sacrifice Your offering is for me. Stir in me a heart bent on sharing the joy of You with others in my everyday corner.
