When the angels had returned to heaven, the shepherds said to each other, "Let's go to Bethlehem! Let's see the thing that was happened, which the Lord has told us about." Luke 2:15

Good news of great joy propelled the shepherds into action. A visit from heaven and a pinch of curiosity sent the shepherds to go and see for themselves. Isn't that what Jesus does? He invites us to come and see. He tugs at our hearts to lean in and find out more. Even so as a baby, Jesus brought the shepherds near. And these early seekers were just the beginning.

Let's pray together.

Dear Lord, thank You for pulling at my heart to come and see. Like the shepherds, may I never lose wonder to continually seek You. Thank You for making room for me so I may always be where You are. Help me to share this good news with others. In Your Name, Amen.

Blessing for little ones

Jesus, as the shepherds went to meet You, open my heart to continually seek You too! Help me to share Your goodness with others, especially with all my sisters and brothers. Amen.
